Next2Friends is staffed by a global group of talented people from many different disciplines. Its founders are introduced below and full biographies or speaker profiles are available on request.

Roy Shelton, CEO

Roy Shelton has spent the last 22 years building international technology and telecoms businesses including Prime Carrier, Azure Solutions & Cerebrus. Working with government, senior industry and investment communities around the world, Roy has gained a reputation as an early evangelist of the emerging technologies that evolve to lead their field.

Roy has an MBA from the Open University Business School and is a member of both the Institute of Directors and the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management.

Anthony Nystrom, CTO & Chief Architect

Anthony Nystrom is an accomplished software architect, engineer and versatilist with 12 years proven experience building desktop, enterprise and internet applications. His comprehensive expertise in technical design and development enable Next2Friends to incorporate a multitude of technologies, platforms and programming languages into its platform and roadmap.

Anthony has a BSc in Computer Science & Mathematics, a BA in Biology & Anthropology and currently has 3 US software patents pending.

Andrew Doyle, COO

Andrew Doyle is a global business executive focused on driving long-lasting financial and operational success for both established global corporations and start-ups for the last 20 years. Andrew’s work in the IT and telecoms industry has generated a wealth of senior industry relationships, and he has worked for companies including Fujitsu, Energis, Racal Telecom and Global Crossing.

Andrew has a degree in Business Studies, an Advanced Diploma in Marketing and is a member of the Institute of Directors.

Lawrence Botley, Lead Developer

Lawrence has 12 years experience developing multi-platform ecommerce and telecoms applications for a range of corporations. Lawrence holds a BSc in Artificial Intelligence/Computer Science, an MSc in IT ecommerce and is currently also undertaking a PhD in augmented reality technologies at the University of Sussex.

Gary Nystrom, Senior Developer

Gary has 40 years software development and consulting experience for international businesses including a number of the world’s largest financial institutions, particularly within the areas of high security applications. Gary holds a BSc in Chemistry & Mathematics, and a BA in Health Sciences.
